Crispy, baked sweet potato fries with smoked paprika may be your new go to when craving french fries. Sweet potatoes are a nutrition powerhouse, packing Vitamin A and C along with smaller amounts of other vitamins and minerals. They also are a great source of fiber and have a lower glycemic index than white potatoes. Foods with a low glycemic index (GI) tend to release glucose slowly and steadily into the blood sugar as opposed to foods with a high glycemic index which release glucose rapidly……this means you can eat these sweet potato fries without feeling hungry or tired an hour later. Have at it!!
I love the smokey flavor of the smoked paprika, not to mention the little specks of beautiful red color it adds, but if this is not your thing, feel free to season these fries with salt and pepper alone or add some curry, cayenne or cumin in place of the paprika.
You will LOVE these crispy, baked sweet potato fries alongside your favorite burger or sandwich or how about a snack on game day withe a side of roasted poblano, jalapeno and fresh cilantro aoli?? Get that recipe here http://www.hotdatedinner.com/roasted-poblano-jalapeno-cilantro-aoli/
